Yes. Yes. [He reaches out and touches his hand to Rory's shoulder.] Rory Rory . Rory Pond. Rory the Roman. You and me. In this together? The Doctor and the last centurion. How could we possibly fail.
[Dashing around the console, he pulls the scanner over and types frantically into the keyboard below.]
Labour, yes. In labour. Parturient. Giving birth. Popping. [Leans over and looks at Rory.] Having a baby.
You're a nurse. Catch up. That's what she was feeling. The other Amy. The Amy that wasn't Amy. Only it was Amy. The consciousness was Amy. Fed back from the actual Amy. Amy and not Amy all in one.
Amy was drifting in and out of consciousness, exhausted from the labor and delivery, when she heard a familiar voice. "Doctor?!" Amy called out as loudly as she could, trying to sit up as she looked around. He had promised her but she hadn't actually expected him to be here. Not this quickly. She feared that someone else might be around to try and stop him from entering, but she had to risk acknowledging his presence in the hopes that he'd be able to find where she was.
The Doctor wasn't there. The Doctor was in the TARDIS. So far away in every conceivable way. He stood, leaning one hand against the console and holding a small communicator in his other hand.
"Amy, can you hear me?" he went on. His hand on the console was red where it gripped the edge. "Amy I've set up a communications link by folding back the signal I cancelled out, really quite impressiv-- no, actually that's not important. What's important is that you breathe. Keep breathing, Amy. We will be there. We will save you."
"I'm in he-" Cutting herself off, Amy's eyes roamed around the room and she tried to look around the half closed door. She had been moved since giving birth but she still had no idea where she was, which wouldn't be of much help if he was trying to find her. Shoulders slumping when she realised he wasn't actually there, Amy looked up at the ceiling trying to figure out where she was hearing him from exactly. "Could've used the coaching earlier." Yes that was her poor attempt at humor and it was followed by a weak laugh. "Rory? He's with you?" She asked, her tone softer.
Her mind was in such a fog it was hard to remember things clearly, but she couldn't remember at any point them hurting her. "No, I don't think so, no." She let out a sigh of relief before she let her body fall back against the bed. "I don't know where I am though." She admitted, "It looks like a hospital but there's loads of things I've never seen before."
"A hospital," The Doctor repeated back to himself, cataloguing every word she said. "Hold on, Amy, just hold on. I don't know how long I can maintain the audio link but do not lose faith. I'll be there. I promise."
Amy could feel her throat tighten up as tears sprang to her eyes. She trusted the Doctor with her life, but she feared that it might be enough. She didn't know how long it would take for him to get to wherever she was, or what these people may do to him or Rory. She was the last person to ever admit when something scared her, but she was completely terrified right now.
Freezing up when she heard crying from behind her Amy moved her body to look behind the bed where she saw her baby. This didn't feel real and in all honesty she wished it wasn't. She wanted a child, someday, but not like this. Not when she, her child, husband and best friend could be in danger. "Doctor." Amy choked out as she swung her legs off the side of the bed and slowly rose to her feet. "Please be careful. I don't know who they are or what they want." She explained as she slowly moved her way over to the bassinet and dared to look at her baby for the first time. She feared that it would look alien but when it finally came into view she couldn't help the sharp inhale as she saw her.
"Careful? Me? What would I want to go and do a thing like that for?" He attempted to inject humour; what else could he do? The connection on the line fizzled and cracked. The Doctor knew it wouldn't hold, but he had to keep talking to her as long as he could.
"Amy the TARDIS is trying to keep the line stable, but she can't hold on much longer. Now I need you to listen to me. Amy I need you to promise me you won't try to get out of this. Just do what they say. Anything else and you could put yourself in even more danger. Do you understand me?"
His humour, despite the circumstances did make her smile just a tad. She took comfort in the fact that she knew that they were alive, but she'd be much better off if they were here. "Has she located where I am yet?" Amy asked, hoping the answer was yes but she wasn't holding her breath. "I promise." and for once she actually meant it.
She was at a loss when she saw her daughter though, she really didn't know much about babies other than the fact that they cried a lot. However she immediately felt a connection to her and knew exactly what she wanted. Picking her up as carefully as she could, and held her close to her. "Please Doctor, please hurry."

Because somewhere out there, Amy's alive. Alive and in labour. Another Pond. Blimey, we'll have a lake soon.
[He smacks his hand against Rory's shoulder and attempts a laugh, falling flat. He straightens his face.]
No? Not the time. Thought not.

[Sighs, resting his hands against the TARDIS console, gripping tight.] Amy...wherever she is, she's actually in labor?

Amy's questioning, however, made him stop. He glanced off towards the TARDIS doors and down to the console.
"Rory's fine," he said, not entirely truthfully. He was looking for her, not that the Doctor could have stopped him even if he wanted to.
