WHOAH! [ducks behind a wall while lights flicker and small objects start flying around from her shock] Crap, crazy human with big gun, just what I need...
[Her fingers curl into an occult gesture.] Chill out with the firearm already!
[There was one gigantic squid that had the idea that Jack might make a good dinner dish. Well there one way to chill with the firearm is to run out of ammunition or for the squid in question to finally drop dead. There's a bit of both with Jack emptying out the clip and the squid ends up dead.]
Huh?
[Jack gives the woman a puzzled look. He didn't exactly hear her human remark or the offer to chill out.
[Little itty bitty Hart looks up at Jack with that great big pretty gun. He likes guns, even if he isn't supposed to play with them. His eyes are big and wide as he grins up at the full grown version of his friend.]
Ooo! I wanna see?
[He makes with the grabby hands, hopping around excitedly.]
[There's a look on Jack's face and then there's the gun. He likes the big gun and he points it at Master. Shooting Master with a big gun isn't a bad idea.]
Jack was blowing off some steam with one of the guns he had tucked away, it was one big machine gun and he goes to unleash unholy hell on a bunch of bottles.
"It's a great way to let off a lot of steam." Jack says, as he turns around to glance back over towards River. He's met the woman a few times before and she's what a 51st century archeologist should be. "Here if you'd like to try it go for it." Jack hands River the large machine gun and he nods his head towards the large box of ammunition. "If you should happen to run of any bullets."
There's other weapons there in the SUV boot and he reaches for another machine gun. He loads it up and there's a smile on his face. "You might want to let off a bit of steam on the car over...." Jack points to one abandoned lorry and he smiles. "There."
"Who doesn't love firing a gun when you're a little tetchy?" Stepping forward, she took the big gun from Jack and aimed it towards the lorry that he was pointing too. "Thank you for this, Captain."
She's quiet for a moment, staring at the lorry and focusing on i. Her finger quivers before she pulls the trigger and she lets out a long string of bullets on it, watching as the sparks fly. "Aaaargh!" It feels good to unleash her rage, thinking of the Doctor and how unfair the universe is with each bullet flying.
Finally, she lowers the gun and grins wildly at Jack. "Much better," she purrs.
"I could give you a few answers to that one," Jack says, as he points the heavy machine gun at the discarded lorry. He casts a smile over towards River and he then goes to watch her.
He watches the bullets rip through the lorry and he listens to that rage. "That's quite a bit of rage you've got buried inside of you there." Jack tells her, and he finally takes his turn again on the lorry trailer. He watches the sparks fly from the metal and he was hoping there was just enough fuel left to spark off a nice explosion.
"The other reason for this. It's fun to break out the heavy artillery sometimes." Jack lowers the gun and he places it back in the boot of the SUV. He offers his hand out. "And, I don't think we've met."
"Answers are always good, Captain." She smiles and steps back, watching Jack as he fires on the lorry. As he finishes, the lorry explodes in a bright, orange bang and she can't help but grin wider at it. The Doctor would never do something like this for fun.
She smiles, giving a shrug of her shoulders as she looks up at Jack. "I don't really have an outlet like this. We'll have to do this more often," she said coyly. "Rage isn't a good thing to keep buried inside, that much is true." She wasn't sure she wanted to tell him anything about the Doctor. It wasn't just the spoilers, but she that Jack knew the Doctor well. It would be like trying to vent to Amy. She wouldn't put anyone in the middle.
River stepped forward and gave Jack a firm handshake. "We haven't, sadly, but your reputation precedes you Captain." River pulled up the sleeve of her blouse to show him her manipulator. "Dr. River Song. It's a pleasure."
