"I know you can't hear me Amy. But I can hear you. And just hearing you talk tells me you're alive." Rory shuddered, imagining what she was going through.
If Amy could have heard anything she'd have heard the sound of Rory punching the wall hard. And then cradling his fist. "We will get you back Amy. And our baby." A weak smile. "The end of the universe couldn't stop us. Nor could death."
Amy looked around the sterile, white room as she tried to figure out where she was. "I can't remember-" Amy cut herself off as she tried to reign in her emotions. "I can't remember anything." She didn't remember being put in this place, or actually being pregnant.
The combination of pain and fear and being lonely had drained Amy of energy. They'd taken the child that she didn't know she was having and that was more alarming than she'd expected it to be. "Rory," she whispered. She didn't hear a reply, of course she didn't, what did she think she was doing. She swallowed and spoke again. "I'm scared, Rory."
Rory shivered. "I know you can't hear this, Amy. But we're coming to get you." At least he knew she was alive. And scared. Not that he expected otherwise.
Her eyes closed when the only answer she got was the medical machine she was hooked up to, and the kind of silence that bounced off the walls. "I don't know what's going on," she said in a low tone. "I don't -- I didn't know -- " Part of her cried out to the universe, We're special. We travel in time. Let us talk.
