[He jumps a bit, surprised by that. He turns around and upon seeing her, immediately looks around to make sure no one else is watching.] Oh, h-hey. You startled me.

Maybe not to you. You're always bright. I mean, I see you as brighter than everything else. But everything has this...darkness to it. Like someone dimmed the lights around me. Maybe it's just me.
