Good question. But most don't feel that way.

The language may be dead, but the sentiment very much is not. Just that I think the version in English lacks the same poetry.

Humans by their very nature are hypocritical. Whether you're Catholic or not has no bearing on it. Not all organized religion is shit. In theory.

Well hypocritical I can deal with, in small doses. Not all? I can't help but notice that when man kind gets their hands on something that's in theory good, it tends to go to shit.

Of course. That's humans for you. Like I said, just in theory. Buddhism is rather nice. And shinto. Not always nice, of course, but they don't emphasizing converting nonbelievers like the monotheistic ones.

Yes. Not to say that organized religion of any sort hasn't accomplished some good things. It's a necessary evil.
