[Is just going to stand there looking distinctly guilty, because he hasn't told Charles about his and Raven's chat last night. He should probably, for once in his life, have kept his mouth shut and let Charles handle it. Or at least have spoken to him before he barged ahead.]
[ Bright blues flicker from one to the other and after a moment Raven's statement sinks in and Charles's mouth forms a thin line. He doesn't say anything for a second, taking in Ravens mildly smug expression and Erik's equally guilty countenance. The folder he had been peering through snapped closed and easily forgotten. Sigh, ]
[Folding his arms defensively, Erik walks into the room-- flashing Raven a glare as he passes for saying anything to her brother. He catches Charles' eye.]
Because, I said we'd all talk about it. [ He replies in a terse, nearly clipped tone to Raven. Erik on the other hand gets little quarter from Charles' unpleasant stare. ]
If you two start bickering, God help me, I will make you into lawn ornaments for the rest of the day. [ Okay, so he probably wouldn't, but if the set of them started snipping at each other they were asking for trouble. ]
[And he's about to snap something at Raven, but Charles' final comment silences him effectively. He stands there looking put out for a moment, before unfolding-- then refolding his arms and walking to lean against Charles' desk. His eyes flick back up to the telepath's, and he can't quite hold the stare.]
We should...we should talk. So...all he told me was that you two were sleeping together. That's all. And I didn't ask him anything he just told me that. []
Oh? [ His shoulders hunch, just slightly, but he quickly reigns himself in. Breathing out a sigh he dropped the vanilla colored folder down onto one of the smaller tables and eased himself into his own chair. A light sigh passing his lips as he takes a second or two to compose himself. ]
I'm not sure what else there is to discuss. [ Sure, there was probably more but Charles was in a rather sour mood. Folding his arms and and shortly thereafter his legs to settle his stare on the both of them. ] Now you know.
No. There's nothing more here to talk about. She knows. What more do you want? [It's directed at Charles, and he tilts his head with a sharp look.]
[And after sending a glance Raven's way-- cautionary, not mean-spirited this time-- he returns his eyes to Charles, resuming his guilty posture after catching the other man's eye.] I do, however, think I would like to talk to you without an audience.
I've got nothing else to say on the matter. [ He just lowers his gaze to his own knee, pushing his palms along the thigh of his slacks, straightening out the small crease and basically giving him something else to occupy his mind. ]
There isn't anything else to know, Raven. We've formed some sort of a relationship I don't really know the words for, other than that I wasn't really prepared for this-- I've got nothing to offer.
Then that makes two of us. I'm certain, Raven, that you'll finally be content enough so as to avoid further confrontation in the future about this particular subject. [It's said in a clipped, business-like tone, and Erik appears to straighten his shoulders, assuming authority over the situation.]
To clarify-- [There's a roll of his neck, and he paces over to the window, turning to face the room with his hands in his pockets, chin raised haughtily.] --what occurs between your brother and myself, is our own concern-- not the concern of yourself and the rest of this household. I'd prefer if you kept this quiet. So far, most of the students have managed to keep things on a professional level, I would appreciate it if it could remain so.
[He turns his head to try and catch Charles' eye.]
