Bending to others will, why me?

Everyone has their own free will.

Whining about it? So very unattractive.

You're your own person. Be autonomous.

No. I find the minor (or even major) upsets are not worth my not being true to myself. I'd rather upset someone else than lie to myself about what I'll be happy with.

Oh MERLIN'S BEARD. SCREW the majority. *puts her hands on her hips* Do you ever think making yourself happy is more important? Because it IS. Because it's RIDICULOUS to try to make everyone happy, because when you do NO ONE is happy. Ask ANYONE.

Gee, voices in your head become real? They have names for that in the Muggle world. And people get made fun of and talked about badly when they admit to it. I caution you to be careful.

You avoided the question... *shrugs* And if you can hear them and talk to them and they have their own lives? You're no longer dealing with characters. They're people. And once they cross that line, it's really really close to the Muggle thing called "Dissociative Identity Disorder"... I looked that up.

I think if things are shite where you are writing them, especially if it's more than one "character" perhaps you need to look at yourself a little more carefully. Maybe the writer is the problem, not the characters. *shrugs* but what do I know... I'm nine.

Not ALL your fault, but ultimately, you make the choices for them, correct? So you can decide how to make them react... unless they really do have lives of their own, and if they do... well then, you've got bigger problems than a little muse depression. Maybe people don't like the way you make your muses react to things... or they think you want things they don't want... or you confuse them? I don't know. Like I said, you have to look at yourself, honestly, and see if you are a part of the problem.
