...Well. When I say man, I don't mean man, since you are obviously a woman. A very pretty woman, too.
[Have a short laugh and a doofy grin]
But.
[He points his finger at her, not accusingly, just as emphasis]
Yes. And let me tell you why. Kurosawa? He's a very artsy guy -- he trained as a painter before he went into directing, did you know that? -- very creative. Everything he does just flows, one thing to the other to the next, it's choreographed perfectly. Now, I don't claim to know you -- I've never met you before in my life -- but I would bet you dollars to donuts that you have a healthy appreciation for that cinematic ambiance. Am I right, or am I right?
[A very pronounced blush creeps onto her cheeks when he calls her pretty.]
That sounds mighty nice indeed. I don't think I've ever seen one of his films, actually. And I definitely didn't know about him being trained as a painter.
"Seven Samurai". Do it up. Hands down, a classic. Fun fact: it was the inspiration for "The Magnificent Seven". And I'm talking the original "Magnificent Seven", not that TV show they came out with almost 30 years later.
[He counts off on his fingers, leaning towards her in his clear enthusiasm for the topic as he really starts to warm to it]
John Sturges, Yul Brenner, Charles motherfucking Bronson, Steve McQueen...Also a classic.
[Did you really want to fist bump Kronk. Luckily... he knew that a fist bump wasn't the same as punching someone into the next room. So you got a very CAREFUL fist bump.]
