*Runs into his chambers where he is going to spend the weekend with him at Hogwarts.* Uncle Severus! *He squealed.*

[Snape rolls his eyes, hiding behind the paper.] What do you want, Draco? I'm very busy. [He's so good with kids, isn't he?]

I'm bored, can I go play with the elves in the kitchens? *he asked and he moved and lay his head on his desk lazily.*

[He lowers the newspaper and glowers at him, even though he's finished looking through it for any hints or rumors about the Dark Lord's eventual return. Nothing as yet.]

No. They are working. Do not distract them from that.

*He just pouts.* Well then what can I do.... *he looks up at him, clearly unamused by him saying no to the kitchens.*

[Unhelpfully.] You can stay out of trouble until such time as your father returns to collect you. Read a book, perhaps and get a head-start on your education.

*He just makes a face at that idea.* Can I go to the Quidditch Pitch? *he asks ignoring the words of his elder.*

I can hardly keep an eye on you there, can I? So - no.

Ugh fiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeee *he says a little moodily and goes and sits in the seat by the fire, folds his arms and just stares at Severus.*

[Is definitely never ever going to have offspring. He sighs.] What have you been able to do magically, so far?

Stuff.... *he says smartly, not moving at all, yes he defiantly has the icy tone like his mother.*

'Stuff' is not a proper answer. [He leans back in his chair, eyeing the boy.] Even though you don't have a wand yet, perhaps I can help you. You want to be ahead of everyone else when you come up, don't you? [Especially those in Gryffindor House.]

Yeah! -he said excitedly- I wanna be the best!

[Glaring at said activity.]

[Eventually feels her eyes boring into him and looking up, closes the paper quickly, thrilled that she's actually paying attention to him, even in a negative way.] Lily.

[She purses her lips and lifts her chin slightly.] Severus.

...You're looking well?

So are you. [She sighs and pulls the paper away from him.]

[He looks slightly put out by that.] It's only a newspaper, Lily.
