Quite true. I suppose it's due to human life being so fleeting, but I often wonder why it's not the opposite; the briefer the life, the more fun should be had.
I think humans wager it's an easy thing for me to say, being that I live so long, but if they imagined they could live forever, they might worry less about the fact that they don't.
Quite a few people I know don't know what they want I don't think. Or if they do know they won't go and do something about it. Sometimes what you do, and what you want are two completely different things and the opposite to each other. But maybe people feel they need to live up to things, reputations, or it's the only thing they know. Like Fagin.
