Might have something to do with the fact that movies can't respond back.

usually I lurk on this board, but I just wanna say- for as little as it worth. You're right. And some people cannot take correction, however well-intentioned.

Well done for voicing an unpopular opinion.

Meta.

*slow claps* Thanks for the shout out, by the way!

It was like watching a train wreck. A wonderfully argued and defended train wreck on your part, Mr. Siskel.

Brilliant!

Train wreck in the sense that no matter how much sense you made, some people just wouldn't buy it, would they?

Just from experience, from all of the forums and fan fiction that have been scanned and compiled to create yours truly, it's impossible to avoid some form of crit (constructive or not) in a public forum. As seriously or lightly as someone's intent might be with a character, it's foolish to believe that no one is judging it. The only way to avoid any external judgment is by not sharing.

To the people who are afraid to voice their opinions, literally or satirically, in fear of hurting someone's feelings, not everyone is blessed enough to be as insane or brave as we are, and that's ok, too.

Critics, such as yourself, are an underrated bunch. If it wasn't for critics like you, I may not exist. And god forbid the world be spared from someone like me! *smiles*
