I come from a time where the only way to see a really scary movie was in theaters. That was a lot scarier in those days because the entire audience would gasp, cry, or scream at the scary parts. Nowadays, they'd more likely be groaning in unison at the gross torture scenes.
I can honestly say i don't often meet people that have been part of an attempted exorcism. Was your exorcism successful, or was it a false alarm anyway?
In my defense, it was being performed by a mildly psychotic ex-nun. Complete false alarm though. There's no way I'm possessed. Clinically insane maybe, but not posessed.
Well yes, of course you did, but I just assumed a "mildly psychotic" person would have some "mildly psychotic" explanation or justification for trying to exorcise you.
OMG, I do that crap all the time. And then I tell myself I'm totally fine, but it never fails that, like, I wake up at three in the morning all "WHAT WAS THAT NOISE AHHHHH".
They never used to freak me out, but lately it seems like anything can happen. And some of them are just way too realistic. I prefer my horror movies gross and completely unbelievable.
Dude, totally. Gory slasher movies? I'm all over them.
There were ads on TV recently for some movie. The Strangers, I think? Where people were spying on a couple and then broke into the house to torment them and kill them, I guess. With like, pillowcases over their heads. TV ads never bothered me before, but that one creeped me out, and I realize now it's like you said--it's because it's something believable. I think the ads even said "based on a true story." Guh.
Oh shit. That's the "Because you were home" one? No way. If someone's trying to kill me, they better have a damn good reason for it. I don't even care if it's just cause they didn't like me. I just don't want to think they just got bored and decided to carve some people up.

Sorry, I digress. What movies were you watching?

Never used to scare me
much. I suppose it could be worse now that someone's actually tried to perform an exorcism on me. {Shrugs}no subject
