A glance over towards where he heard his name, though he doesn't slow. Her face is familiar, but barely. Not someone he would associate with. He's not even sure how she got his name, there hadn't been an alert from his network, nor any attempt at access through the usual channels. Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you... He speeds up.
I tell you one thing, and go back to the standard >> <3
[Turning to shoot a questioning glance towards the shadow next to her. She stopped short, letting out a pleased squeal, only to find herself tackling him in a hug. (Her proper sense of thinking went out the window the moment she realized it was him.)]
*Let it not be said that he cannot be taken by surprise. But then, tackle hugs are not exactly in his usual repertoire of "things to watch out for". His hands fly out to help him keep his balance.*
Usually one to be acutely aware of his surroundings, Eames had let himself be caught off guard this time. of course, deep down, he blamed that on Arthur and not himself. Not his fault the pointman was a bleeding spook that seemed to appear out of nowhere like the entire world was his stage of smoke and mirrors.
Jerking as he realized he wasn't walking alone, the cigarette between his fingers dropping to the sidewalk, rolling away with a bit of sparks and ashes.
"Why do you insist on doing that," he demanded in a huff, turning to face Arthur. "One of these days I'm going to lay you out and not paying to repair your face when I do either."
It's a habit, something that Arthur never really outgrew. The only way to make him stop would be to bell him, but even that's not a guarantee. He shrugs.
There was enough time that you could have seen me approach.
There were very few people who could sneak up on Eames like that. And fewer still that he was unsurprised by when it happened. In fact, Arthur was probably the only one who could both sneak up on Eames, and not surprise him by doing so.
His brow arched, pace not even faltering at the sudden appearance, "Fancy meeting you here."

It's always been a favour for a favour. In this case, a mutual acquaintance has asked him to pass something along to her.*
