[She sits behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist and resting her chin on his shoulder.] Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, power like that.. it's pretty dangerous.

I can't take Giles's place and the man shouldn't be dead. I'm brining him back no matter the cost. [Angel knew it was risky and would probably need a great sacrifice and a lot of magic to do what he wanted but he was desperate to make amends.]

[Her arms tightened around him and she buried her face against his neck.]

No. Not no matter the cost.[Her voice was small and just this side of afraid.] I can't lose you, okay?

[Angel sighed heavily, massaging his temple with two fingers.] Faith, if I have to trade my life for his then I'll do it.

[Angel shifted to drape his arm over her shoulder.] I know he was like a mentor to you this past year. He should still be here.

[Tears slipping down her cheeks, Faith curled into him.] I want Giles back too, Angel.

But what am I supposed to do without you?

[Bad choice of words, Angel. Faith hauled back, landing a fairly solid left cross. She stood up, still crying.] You don't get to decide that. I love you, Angel. Don't you get it? I need you and I can't do this without you.

[Angel rubbed his jaw as he stood up looking utterly confused.] You love me?
