Bad people don't make friends and allies like good people do. Being evil gets very lonely.

Evil is like a sickness in the soul. They blame their loneliness on other people and hate people more as a result. And then they get more lonely, and more bitter, and it goes on and on...

So they are evil because they are very sad and lonely then. I felt like that when other children made fun of me. Did that make me evil too? [Important question for a five year old.]
