"My girl"?  Men are such pigs.

How do you figure?

[identity profile] amagicalaura.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
So you're going to generalize an entire gender for it instead of correcting it?

"Men are such pigs". It's a generalization. "He is such a pig", would have been more specific.

Did someone mistreat you, ma'am?

Good. You sounded a little upset...

Fuck, I love women. I'm a pig, but at least I fucking admit it.

I don't think. "Oh and this woman here." makes for flattering introductions. Or is this a matter of I don't want to be "my" because I want to whore around?

I look at it this way. I call her "my girl" and she calls me "my whatever she chooses". Thing is if you aren't in an open relationship there is a bit of possession. You aren't about to just up and let someone steal your girl or guy just like you wouldn't let someone steal your car. Actually I know people who wouldn't care if their car was stolen but if you tried shit with thier girl they'd kill someone.

Depends on who says it and why.

[identity profile] writer-mel.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I had one man say it and it made my skin crawl. Another one and... *shrugs* It would be nice to believe.

Women are such objects.
