New around here. What's to do?

Dunno that there's much to do today, but welcome anyway.

Jackson Bywater, that's a bit of a mouthful. What do your friends call you?

I'm Ace

JC it is, then. Short names are handy, especially when warning of danger or running.

Really? No evil robots or mad dictators or aliens trying to take over Earth in your everyday life? What do you do with your time?

Sometimes I wish I could say the same.

I hope you don't mind me saying so, but your accents a bit odd. Not quite London.

You mean the aliens and dictators and things? *shrugs* Yeah.

American, that'd explain it.

Sure it does. I spend my time travlin' the galaxies with the Professor, seeing things I never would have if I had stuck to Earth. Learning more about history than I ever would have too. Plus I have to say there's a good feeling when you know you've helped people. Course there's an equally shitty feeling when you don't stop them in time. Or when you have to deal with busted ribs.

Nothing wrong in loving a thing. You sure blush easily *teasing smile*

Can't say I was much interested in history when I was in school. It's more interesting, though, when you meet the people. Not so much the big names, even if Queen Nefertiti was friendly and Emily Dickenson sets a nice table for tea. But the ones that never made the history books have the best stories to tell.

Did I hurt myself? Not so much. It was more a case of the goons with the meaty fists and the one with the whip.

Congrats on making it to Uni. I'm guessing you'll get better at the whole meeting people thing.

I can't say that I loved my brush with Victorian England, but that probably had to do with the reason I was there. It was funny to see their expressions when I showed up to dinner wearing pants, though.

Yeah well, there's always a price to be paid. We stopped Jaeger, and that was what mattered. Ribs heal and bruises fade.

I don't think you can see that many people every day and not make friends.

Six words doesn't do much really.
