[She gently picks up a white pawn and studies the board.] Oh, I may let you tease me on some things, Reed. But never chess. [Because she's attempting to impress him. And makes her move.]

Of course not. [He sounds amused, making his move without even looking at the board.]

[There might be a quick look from the board to Reed and then she stares intently at the board.] ... strange opening move. [And another piece is placed.] I do mean it though, you can tease me in other things. It's... okay.

[He's a geeky-nerd. He has no idea how to tease.] No, it's not Sue. You deserve respect. [Another move is placed. Still not looking at the board.]

[She is determined to teach him. Determined. After she gets over this chess game.] Lots of people tease affectionately, y'know. Human behavior. [Okay, so, obviously this game is going to be a loss. Might as well switch it up with a strange move.]

When have I ever been referred to as the typical human? [He glances down at the board, finally, his eyebrows going up in surprise.]

Your genetics were awfully normal, one time or another. [She tries to bite back a smile of delight. So she won't win, she's guessed that, but she's going to make it fun.]

It's not like someone can ever actually define normal in this world. [He sounds musing, his attention slowly diverting from the game.]

There are some typical traits that humans do share. And then sometimes there are atypical people. Both types are wonderful. [She folds her hands to study him.]

Yyyyeah, I kinda meant more which pieces go which ways like forwards, across and stuff so I don't seem too much of a newbie. Still, maybe I'll pick it up. [Tentaively he moves a Pawn fowards one square.]
