[Darien picks up, Bruce caught him on an actual day off, which doesn't mean much aside from "working from home" at the Agency. He has no idea who it is, but usually it's the Official and that would mean his day off is ending short.]
Hello, this is... [and now Bruce realizes he actually didn't give his name] ...a friend. Hope you're feeling better than the last time I saw you. [there, that should be cryptic enough if this line was tapped]
[Darien rarely received phone calls from anyone outside of The Agency or telemarketers, so even though he didn't have a name, he certainly recognized the voice. It was good that Bruce was playing it low, Darien felt pretty certain Hobbes had the wire tapped. He wasn't invisible, but Bobby might well have been with the way he tracked Darien some days.]
I'm doing alright. Staying out of trouble. [Translation: he hadn't been caught yet] I was wondering if you wanted to get together sometime, we could finish that conversation. Didn't know if you knew of any coffee shops nearby....or far away?
Yeah, I know a few places. I'll give you a call in a couple minutes alright? I just need to grab the door here. [Darien hung up and had the operator trace back Bruce's number before running out the door, tossing his jacket on as he went. He didn't bother to quicksilver as he made his way toward a payphone and rang back Bruce's number.]
[At first, Bruce is a little nervous about waiting for him to call back...his paranoia kicking in that he's going to be traced, which means someone else could find him too. It's a full three rings before he picks up] ....who are you calling for?
I'm looking for a scrawny, green-eyed geek that speaks science-ese. [Darien doesn't give him time to answer.] Sorry, kinda didn't want to talk over the home phone. You know?
[There's a huff of amusement] You've got the right number then. I wasn't sure if it would be you or someone else. [Yup, tapping his phone, he called that one right]
Good call. Anyway, there's a place I know...[Darien lists the address for Bruce. It's a hike for Darien, but gives him time to shake Hobbes if he's around.] Hole in the wall, great coffee. Sound alright to you? [Darien was far from a recognizable face there, but he'd been a couple times during his less illustrious career and knew it appealed to nervous characters for the ease one could slip out, but not in easily.]
Ok, think I can find that. Sounds good. [It wasn't too far from where Bruce was]
[An hour later, he's staying out of sight in an alley with a view of the place, making sure it's not a trap. In fact, he might stand out here for another hour just to be safe. He hasn't seen Darien yet...]
[Darien's taken the long way, and he's conserving on quicksilver so at least Claire will be less suspicious when he needs his next shot. He's taking the fire escape into the alley that Bruce is hiding in when he remembers earlier and gives the ladder a shake, makinging it squeak to betraying his presence.]
Hey. [Is all he says, in a relaxed tone, hoping not to startled Bruce too much, though he remains invisible, waiting for Bruce to turn around.]

...oh wait.] You better be the only invisible man in town. [he looks, hopefully, in the right direction up on the fire escape]

Guarantee it. [As of that point, Arnaud had yet to recreate the gland.] One and only invisible man. Accept no substitutes.
