You know, in the original stories he was weak to water. Might pay off to stick near that if you're having a touch of paranoia about this.

No, it just repulses him. He moves back from it so it never touches him. In a Greenlandic folktale Oqitsoq defeated him by standing in the middle of a frozen lake and breaking it, forcing him to teleport far away to safety.
