Someone suggested we call the new communications tower Hliðskjálf.

You mean you already have a communications tower to name? This organisation of yours is developing rapidly.

I find the title appropriate, it looks worse than it sounds.

It's amazing what can be accomplished with the judicious application of money, charm and good business sense.

I'm starting to feel like one of those ridiculous super-villains. Perhaps I should take to wearing spiked heels and a cape?

Such a costume is not becoming of you Sophie. But wear it if you must.

I wish you well in your new venture but I may sit this one out. I intend to enjoy this life, I have been weighed down by responsibilities for too long now. However if you are in need of my assistance, do not hesitate to ask.

It's the accent, I expect. Anyone sounding vaguely Germanic must therefore have some kind of ulterior motive.

It is good that you have kept your accent, I've all but lost mine over the years. I always had a soft spot for the Germanic peoples, especially the ones of ancient times who depicted me as a mother goddess rather than a monstrous crone.

I'd sooner act as your style coach. I'm a bit old-fashioned but one cannot go wrong with the classics.

They do have some very interesting ideas. [Not all of them good, of course, but nobody is perfect.]

I can't have you dressing in ill-fitting grey business suits with shoulder pads. You are much too pretty for that.

You can tell that I have too much time on my hands when I start occupying myself with frivolities. It is a refreshing change, I think. My background is after all, one of great contrasts. Wealth and poverty; love and rejection.

Struggles are familiar territory but I've learned to embrace the finer things in life without guilt.

It is good to see you not hampered by duty for a change. Not to belittle your past-role but presiding over death - much less it's uglier side - cannot have been easy.

Death has no ugly side, not really. It is what you make of it but then you've been through the veil so you would know that. I keep bringing up the past cycle but it is not something that is easily forgotten.

I am happy that you have something to preside over in this realm. You would have ruled the Vanir well had you been given the chance.

Nothing of particular importance. Save, perhaps, that I'm going to have to have a conversation with whoever's responsible for giving the tower such a ridiculous nickname.
