(no subject)

Risotto shouldn't be made with cream.

Are you speaking from experience, or did the restaurant get it wrong?

I have a theory that your risotto habit's related to rice cookers being the only kitchen implement you don't see as an opponent.

Risotto. You use short grain rice because it releases more starch. Cooked slowly with the right amount of liquid it's supposed to become creamy on it's own. I like that you're interested enough to know why the recipe works but if I have to hear it across one more table I'm going to wonder why you aren't cooking for me.

It's not employee's work.

So the theory was a stretch. It's the only ingredient I know you have an affinity for, other than the combination of meat and fire.

I can cook, properly. And it's something I like to do, occasionally, as an expression - for people I care about.

Then you could share something you excel at with me.

All I'm saying is it might be a good evening.

*headtilt* What's the difference?

But... cream is nice! It tastes good!

Then what does? Do oreos? I don't always understand the whole thing of what goes with what, if they all taste good.

Yes! Although if I eat too much at once, it has unexpected effects. Although the other reason for that may have been in the ham, I suppose.
