I...I think I was luckier than you. I had my daughter until she was five. She would have been eleven this past spring. It's only been six years, but sometimes it feels like twenty, and others like it was two days ago.

At that age, you shouldn't. Losing a child--it's never easy, it's never fair, but God, that's so young. Did you...did you at least get to hold him, even once?
