Paul's not growling at the kitten. In fact, he only noticed she was there when she moved. Instead, its the smell of bloodsucker in the area that has set the wolf off.

Maybe if she stays very, very still....though the white does show up pretty well on the grass. She's not going to budge one inch till the wolf moves first, watching it with BIG cat eyes.

*He knows that he doesn't smell 'right', having been told by both vampire and werewolf from time to time. The most flattering description was 'burnt toast and hot wiring'.*
