Whaaat was an overreaction?

Mom. Apparently she and Dad have some...issues to work through.

Parents tend to have lots of issues. Or at least in my experience they do.

I don't think many people have issues like this.

Their issues can't be that out there.

You would think that...but they are. Trust me. They are.

I'm not even going to ask. On a much less awkward subject, we need to get the gang together some night this week to prepare for Black Friday. Is there any night that doesn't work for you?

Ummm. Not to my knowledge? I mean Mom might decide to change up things last minute, but as far as I know...I'm free all week.

Good, because I really don't want a repeat of last year. [Shudders slightly.] I still question Ashley's fashion sense after that disaster.

That was not a disaster. That was...I'm not even sure there's a word for what that was.

It was lime green and hot pink and resembled the bastard child of a poncho and a trenchcoat.

I can't afford to block it out. I mean, what if she tries to buy something like that again when we aren't looking because it hasn't been brought up in months?
