[ The words get a lift of his brow, curious but not quite all together there; he's watching Godric as if he can see through the man-- both him and his words sinking in, but not entirely catching that flighty attention, yet. ]

[If Charles is indeed trying to read his thoughts they are indeed the definition of flighty- what few that he lets be read. Having friends like he does, some must be kept secure. There's magic there. Duels, adventures beyond the imagination, and creatures that fit it all well.

[ The reply gets a curious noise form him, head cocking backwards and his own drifting gaze locked on the man himself now-- it's rare he's met a man who's able to block him out-- there had been that one woman on the boat, but she had been like him. This man didn't feel like him, but it was hard to tell locked out. His gaze drifts before he forces himself to focus again. ]
