What's socks?

You -- put them on your feet? To keep them warm, and to keep your shoes from giving you blisters.

Is that why my toes got all blue?

I'm pretty sure you can definitely say that your toes get blue because they're cold. When your body is too cold, it starts drawing heat and blood from extremities -- toes and fingers and ears, that sort of thing -- to keep the vital organs going.

You should probably dress more warmly.

[Kronk reached up to pat his ears when the other guy said "ears"] ...You mean like earmuffs or something, pal? Or a hat with fur.

Not chipmunk fur tho!

A hat -- probably long sleeves. Something to cover your legs. And definitely not sandals. You're not dressed appropriately for cold weather at all.

...Yzma's going to fire me if I get clothes like that. [Kronk was so worried now! And he had a difficult size too, he couldn't just go to a shop and buy stuff. Sniff.]

Then I don't think you have a very good or understanding boss.

No it's -- it's hard to explain. Matching socks are bad luck. [Besides which, it disrupted his usual routine, but he doesn't want to have to get into why that's upsetting to him.]
