Don't doubt it. You look like a man with the world on his shoulders. [ He leans forward, pursing his lips together. ] It ain't good for you. Lemme tell you that. That look or that worry.
I'd imagine so. God don't talk to no man. No matter how devote that person is.
[Castiel knew that Dean was not one for praying. The hunter barely believed in God let alone that he would help his creatures that prayed. The angel slowly glanced up, his eyes meeting those disapproving ones of Dean.]
...'Cept in your case, where it does. [he's not expert, Hell, he's not even a novice, but.. when you want something so bad. Someone to hear you so bad as Cas does.. and not get anything? Well...]
I know, man. [he tucks his hands into his jeans, glancing away from that look because.. c'mon, Cas. Unfair. He feels... like he should know what to do, to say, whenever Sammy looks at him like that. And this is the same case scenario]
[Castiel continued his pray, his head bowed as he murmured his words to his father. A small gentle breeze tousled his hair as he closed his eyes holding his hands tight]
[Sam sits on a bench nearby, book on his lap, trying not to stare. But it's almost fascinating for him. He never considered the possibility that angels could or would pray. But Sam's the last person to call them out on it, he supposes.]
[Castiel was deep in prayer, a look of concentration etched on his features. He was praying to his father. That even thought God has been absent for him to appear this one time and help him.
Castiel needed help.
After a moment the angel pursed his lips and opened his eyes, lifting his head. His expression softened when he saw Sam sitting there with a book.]
[Sam starts just a bit - he tends to be more on-edge these days. Still, he gives Cas a smile and an awkward wave.] Hey. Sorry, am I...I can give you some more space, if you want.
[He gives a small shrug, but looks at Cas with compassion in his eyes.] You don't know that for sure. God doesn't even speak to angels that much, right? And he brought you back.

[The angel murmured, lifting his eyes to meet that of Joanna Beths father.]
I pray for my sins.

Lots of people do that. Saves your soul or somethin' like that. Haven't known it to work that well though.

[Not many people did, that was the good thing.]
That is a mortal comfort. Prayer is just words. It is the intention behind it that matters.
I find it to be the only way to speak with my father.
...He is ... never responsive though.
