The one disadvantage to having a healing factor. Every couple of years, the ink just starts fading away. [Yet he's too stubborn to give up. The dragon's as much a part of him now as his claws.]

Nope. They won't let you get tattoos if you're drunk. The alcohol changes your body chemistry so it takes the ink weirdly. This one was not my idea.
