[Kaya is pushing her way up to the bar, hair curled and in a tight black dress, flagging down the bartender for an apple martini, her favorite drink and occasional weakness. She hops up to sit on a stool, crossing her legs and tapping her nails on the bar as she waits for her drink.
Hey, just because she's a teacher, doesn't mean she can't go out on a Saturday night. Besides, as far as she was concerned, she was overdue for a drink. Her first week had been...a bit of a roller coaster ride, to say the least. She wasn't quite sure how to handle the whole Everett situation anymore. Maybe she should just tell him, but what would that accomplish?]
omg you're such a mood uplifter, sorry about forgetting to tell you 8X<33
[After what would seem to be his fifth glass, he winces a slight bit at the sting the drink leaves in the back of his throat. Although this wasn't his first drink of the night or week for that matter, it burned a little.
As for his reason why he was drinking? Well to put it simple, it was work. The finals, tests, last minute grades were already enough stress but the whole situation brought on by Kaya only added onto things. Not to mention the stress at home and his brothers, yadda yadda.
After storming off the way, he did earlier this week really made him pull back and mull a thought over things. Why did her saying she wasn't her type, bother him so much? He was confident enough to know he was physically attractive and usually had a lot to say if his looks didn't help him in that department. But considering it strange enough that he did all this, over a course of a week just because of some woman who rejected him and told him flat out no struck a chord out to him.
Had it be any other woman that told him no, didn't and would not get a second consideration or more thought put in yet she did.
Oh well, some chick new pulled up a seat and sat next to him. He turns over, figuring he could use a vent anyway.] Hey so... you're pretty. What do you think of me?
[As she was being passed her drink, the guy on the stool turned to her and damn it all... Was the world just against her in some way? The Fates cruel bastards who liked to laugh at her?
Grimacing, she looked over at him, sighing. He called her pretty and asked what she thought of him.]
Just... just a little. [He puts his glass down next to the group of three other empty glasses. Instead of flagging like she did, he just flailed his arm over until the bartender caught on and ordered another glass.] I'm a usual here. [He chuckles a bit at that before giving her a small smile.]
Did you come here by yourself or... with friends? People like to be dicks here, especially to women when they're past ineb... inebriation.
Can I ask you something? Since you being a girl and all?
[Sorry Charles, it might seem the wrong time or day even to be working on a paper, especially going to a bar to do such a studious task. Whether you catch him from your peripherals or you're just that good at hearing his footsteps amongst the crowd of idle chatter, this is Everett walking over towards to you and leaning against booth.]
[Charles smiles without looking up, his pen scratching across a page as he consults a book on genetics] It is in fact open for another half hour... [looking up finally] However, they tend to frown on drinks in the library and I intend to finish this paper tonight. Meaning I need a good hour or two.
