[After Glory has finished reciting the poem, a quiet voice speaks up from behind her.]

That was beautiful.

[Looks up at the window now, careful to avoid eye contact so she had enough time to wipe her eyes.]

The last lines of the poem had the most emotional impact. [Doesn't everyone, for a smallest of second, want to be beautiful and shining beyond thought and fear?] You have excellent taste in literature, Ma'am Davis.

That's a lovely poem, Miss Gloria.

[There is a tray in her hand, with all the usual things -- Isaac will probably not thank her for usurping his role but sometimes it's good to remind yourself where you started out. If nothing else it keeps one humble.]

[A polite nod as she sets down the tray and carefully prepares the tea.]

[Itchy listens to her poem, watching how the light from the window highlights the features of her face. Breathtaking.

[Headtilt.] That was pretty. Did you write it?
