I fail to see what's so confounding about saving lives. The methology behind it may not make sense to someone not engaged in tha activity, but well behaved people seldom make history.
I'm not confused about the act of saving lives moreso the negative effects such an action might and often times does have. No action exists in a vacuum and intent is not enough to justify any action if it harms someone else. And making history should be the last thought on any truly altruistic person's mind.
Hmm. Personally I think we're all pretty understandable. We're trying to help however we can. I think people who enjoy being villainous are much, much more confounding.
