Thought I smelled something funny, guess I figured that out. [He muttered in that special almost trademark grumpy way he had.]

[Kikyo walks to his side quietly. She still has that lingering graveyard smell.]

[Inuyasha's hands slid silently into the opposite sleeve and against the other arm as Kikyo approached. He was a little apprehensive about even seeing the woman, much less having her so close to him.]

Wasn't really worried, just thought I should check up on it.

[His reaction isn't an uncommon one. Yet that doesn't mean Kikyo doesn't feel somewhat hurt at his tension and harsh tone.]

[Inuyasha risked a sidelong glance at the woman, before answering.]

I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me.

[Suddenly straightening up, he turned fully towards her and nodded his head.] Just take care of yourself, Kikyo. I don't need one more person thinking I'm too weak, alright?

I never thought you were weak. [It's true. She knows how strong he is - thus why she trusted him as an ally for so long.] I know you will conquer Naraku and achieve everything you want. I just want to make sure nothing interferes with that goal.

Kikyo, why don't you come with us? Nothing is going to interfere, I'm going to find Naraku and make him pay. Then I'm going to become a full demon.
