True enough. I suppose what I'm asking is where one draws the line -- at what point it is that the blame moves from an outside influence to the person themselves.

I mean it's hard to blame yourself for something that someone else has obviously done.

Indeed it is. But if a person is not to blame for their state, is their reaction a thing that should still be treated then? If a person is to become insane quite plainly through exposure, is this not natural? A strange thing, matters of the mind -- are they not? Quite difficult to pin down where you declare something a problem.
