[The Elemental approaches with caution, her mantle wrapped around herself with the scent of brine and sweat on a summer day at the beach. She takes a seat at the bar not far from the Fairest, ordering a mojito.]
[And she would do right to approach with caution. Damiana knows her reputation precedes her. The tales of the Beauty and her Beast...and unlike with a lot of tales, most of those are true. But today seems a calm one and she is simply in the bar to grab a drink and pass time while she waits for Bert to return.
Her head lifts as she notices the other Changeling and picking up her drink, she moves closer. She had promised Bert that she would stay out of trouble while he was gone, but surely there was nothing wrong with simply saying hello.]
Soooo... [She smiles over the rim of her glass...well, more smirks than smiles...] come here often?
[For a long moment, Phaedra's not sure if the Fairest is trying to pick her up, and the blank stare on her face says that plainly. Then she seems to reorganize her thoughts and answer the question as asked: that's safest.]
Either here or the Tipsy Crow. Though lately, I've been avoiding the Crow--there's rumors about things happening there.
[Said rumors had been around for a couple weeks, about an incident that happened because an Autumn Darkling thought her Mask might have been pierced by one of the bar's employees. This was Phaedra's way of giving a gentle warning to Damiana to avoid the other bar.]
[Not exactly. Damiana's a flirt. There's no denying that. But it comes with the territory. However, her flirting is mostly harmless. And really it's second nature.]
Oh? What sort of things?
[Silly Elemental. That's not going to make Damiana avoid it. That's only going to pique her interest. Because if there are things happening, then she wants to be there...checking them out for herself.]
The sort of things that girls like us would be wise to avoid. It's Winter, still.
[But if Damiana wanted to ignore the rules set by the Winter Queen, that was her own choice. Phaedra knew the situation would have been dealt with very differently in Summer, if it had arisen then.]
Lucrece? I don't believe I have, no. Bert and I may have to seek her out later.
[Not because she cares about respect. Oh no. She simply cares about knowing all the players in the game. Makes things a lot easier. Damiana hates surprises...unless rigged by her.]

So much so!

[Damiana ignores all the rules, set by every court. She has no loyalties and has sworn no vows. The only vows she and Bert has are with each other.]
Anything else of interest going on around here? I'm afraid my companion and I are rather new to town.
Last post for the night.
[Rather, a matter of getting the Freehold Oath and other matters squared away.]
If you've yet to do that, I shouldn't say much more.
