But so many resist it, try and hold it back, as if they do not understand that.

More than likely it comes down to either it being out of fear or arrogance.

Or a mixture of both. There is nothing the arrogant fear more than being proven wrong.

Y'know, I'm starting to think it can be, sometimes. Doesn't make it any easier.

It never is easy. That is why there are those who would prefer to remain in the comforts of their old ways.

I'm not too proud to admit I'm one of 'em, but at least I'm trying. It gets so comfortable, telling yourself no.

I can understand that. But I have also found that in order to learn, and to understand, one does have to accept that change can, and will, happen. It is only a fact of time and life.

It's quite all right---I was merely speaking of my people, really. Changes here are not very well accepted.

That's not such a surprising notion. Most groups of people resist change, even when it's as inevitable as it almost always is. Sometimes it's needed.

Well, it is certainly never boring.

It is needed here. No longer can we stand by and only observe the universe. No, it is time for involvement thus the chance to move on.
