Because there are sick fucks out there. He hanged me many times, slowly. It can take a long while to die that way, if done...right. But the last, he left me hanging for dead for a week. It just shattered something in me.

Yup. Kentucky. But right now I live in Europe. Greece is a nice place.

That's just it, sweetie, I wasn't trying. I wish it would be as easy as that, but it's not. It's like something inside has broken, like an old vase. In order to go on, you have to collect those pieces and glue them back together. It takes time, and even then not all of them fit back quite as well. But they do fit back.

Apparently, he is somewhere. I try not to think about it. What about the asshole who hurt you?

Thought so! It is, and I don't go back there nearly often enough.

I hope so. Right now, I feel like the water is leaking all over the table, and the glue won't hold.

The men who hurt me are in the hands of my mentor. He's going to deal with them personally.

I like to travel, but sometimes it's good to just be at home. Safer, too.

It will, it just takes some time, like I said. Just don't expect to be quite the same person you were.

Oooh, that sounds ominous. But really, if your mentor's good, it'll all be all right. Having people who will...uh...listen does help.

He's amazing. Ruthless, which is bad for them. But he is completely loyal, and I am loyal to him. Those bonds can't be broken.
