...Sort of. It's more for the Earth, more for Grandpa Max. I wouldn't die for these people, not individually. I'm mostly doing it because this is my home, this is where the people I care for are. This is what my grandfather died to protect.

It's...hard to explain. When I'm out there, doing the hero thing? I don't think about what I'm doing. It's like I'm on auto-pilot. But when I have to make conscious choices...

It's different. I don't mind dying for 6827255711 people. But I can't say right here, right now I'd die for some stranger I never met before; because I'm fifteen. I'm not always Ben 10. Sometimes I'm just Ben, and sometimes I'm selfish and afraid and hey, I kinda like living, you know?
