How old is your daughter?

She'll be 3 on Friday and she's begging.

I would suggest a cat, then. They're not quite as much work as dogs, and since she is so young..

Hmm, that's a good point. Not to mention she lives with her Mom more than me, so I'd have primary care of the animal.

Dogs are great pets, but they take a lot of time and energy. You can't ignore a cat, but you don't have quite the obligation. There are some breeds that are more personable than others.

I know of one breed of cat that acts sort of like a dog. Playful, good-natured..

They're called Turkish Angoras. They're usually about a hundred dollars. Of course, that's if you don't know people to get them from for free.

Hm, well puppy's is real loyal whereas cat's tend t'get angry with young'ns. I'm a lil' biased cuz I'm allergic ta dogs, but... I'd go with one'a them.
