Is a nickname really that important?

So, How do I get one?

Sure ,might as well see what you come up with.

[ No one calls him by the name Hokuto's Henchman came up with.]

[Ed thinks for a few moments then asks]

Does he want a long nickname or a short one? What's his real name? What's his favorite color?

[with all the earnestness of a clerk taking an order]

[By "he" of course Ed means "you" but she has some pronoun issues]

Probably a short one, as long as it's badass.

Real name's Akira Maeda.

Azure Aki! Or Aki! Or Aki-Mae! Or Mae-Mae! Or Da-da!

[She makes a face and scratches the back of her head, clearly displeased with her creations]

What's his favorite animal? And computer part? And time? And thing?

Azure Aki would sound cool for a female superhero.

Uh...I like cats, and I don't really know much about computers.

The best time is when I'm not in school.

hm...never really though about a favorite thing.

[Ed scratches her head with her foot, considering this new information]

[She likes that one, and looks quite pleased with herself for thinking of it]

Not bad but...

I don't have the presence to pull it off.

My main problem is getting others to call me by a nickname.

[Hmmm, Ed folds her arms, deep in thought]

Hokuto's Henchman tried to come of with a nickname for me, but it never caught on.

I came up with one for him as well, but he already has the nickname Hokuto's Henchman. I never learned his real name.
