I did...but this Company has a different purpose. Instead of helping everyone with powers I plan to offer a safe haven to those who are a bit more morally grey.

['Safe haven', of course, meaning a way to gather them to one place so they are easily used. Adam knows how the game is played.]

And what of the others, Arthur? Daniel and Maury may have been comfortable with morally grey but most of the others were not.

[Authur chuckles]

Yes but if it means going against the BPRD they might be a little more open. to following a new set of rules.

[Adam's eyebrows raise at that name. He recognizes it.]

My, but you have earned some unwanted notice. The BPRD has be ignorant of us for a long time. Why the change?

[Arthur's eyes darken]

They stole Nathan from me.

[Adam... doesn't look surprised. But he is taken aback.]

Nathan? Why would they take him? One would think Peter would be their first target.

They have Peter too...but Nathan went to them first.

Hm... yes, he would, wouldn't he? Their goals dovetail neatly with his own.

What is your plan for them, Arthur? Your sons? Do you intend merely to retrieve them? Or--

[He lets it hang. Arthur has never shrunk away from doing what needs to be done.]

While I would hope to regain their loyalty I am not foolish enough to let my guard down. If my sons have to die...it will be my hand that does it.

Peter's soft-hearted. He could be swayed back easily enough. I fear Nathan will be a harder sell, however.

If Peter could be won back it would deal a serious blow to the captain and his wife, but it's Nathan I really want.

Is Maury still alive? Perhaps he could be of service in getting Nathan back.

I wouldn't enjoy fighting with Matt but needs be what needs must.

We may be able to use common interests to persuade him to join us. He's been hunting Sylar.

[Arthur nods]

I happen to know where Sylar is at the moment....a deal could be struck.

I'll pass along the word and leave it to you then. You always were the best of us at closing the deal.

[He has other reasons too. Matt may balk at joining Arthur. But in the end, he hates Sylar more. They can use that.]

[Arthur smiles and nods]

And you are very good at the hard sell. Your work with Peter was inspired.

[Adam inclined his head, mildly surprised by Arthur's approval.]

Peter has always been a victim of his own soft heart. It's no surprise the BPRD has taken him in. But I may be able to do something about that as well, given time.

[The boy wants to trust. That will always be his weakness.]

Do what you can, bringing Peter to our side may perhaps convince Nathan that our cause is the right one.

Peter's a powerful piece on the board and must be watched closely. Where was he last seen?

The teenaged one is staying at the BPRD the adult on was last seen in Japan.
