Something I used to be ridiculously fascinated by as a kid.
[There's a couple little strips of cloth and tissue, along with glue, pipe-cleaners and wood-sticks of various lengths. Day off, totally immersed in the craft project, in general, in a pretty good mood.]
Rain's falling, waters rising. Clearly, this calls for a leap of logic to -- twig regatta!
Hung onto it as long as possible, was all, 'but I don't want to lose you!', figured no... I wasn't going to fit back into it after pregnancy and it made a wee sleep-suit for my kid.
(What is it with you and Guri-mun calling me "ducks"? :P)
Exactly. Not that I'd've had a problem if she really went that way, of her own accord. I just didn't want to set up the expectations in-freakin'-utero.
(I'm used to being the only player over the Pond (thereby missing things, constantly, lol))
Pink and frills? No. I think she picked out a dress this morning, but- yeah, it was the black one, and jeans under that. She likes them and feels comfortable in 'em; that's all that is going to matter to me.
Interesting that your thought-processes went to 'girl' when I said I had a blue waistcoat.

[Please pardon the barefoot and robed stranger who's just too curious to do the usual invisible spying.]
... and where did today go?

...fuck if I know?
(Sorry. I am. Not doing great.)
(Forgiven you are. Love you, I always do.)
[Sariel nimbly takes a seat nearby to watch Mairi work.]
(You too, ducks.)
(What is it with you and Guri-mun calling me "ducks"? :P)
[Yes, random barefoot stranger in robe knows your kid is female. And didn't realize that just slipped out.]
(o.0 Unintentional telepathy?)
[She noticed, Sariel. Mairi may be playing with glue and bits of twig, but. Picked right up on that.]
(I'm wondering if it's a localization thing. Where on Earth you from?)
(Somewhere where they spell localisation the 'proper' way. ;P Guess?)
Mmm. Closer to my time zone than hers, yeah.
[Careful this time to phrase it as a question.]
(Warm. Getting hotter. What time is it there?)

10:18pm.
(Just an hour behind, here. Time-travelling, yay)
See, you're not the only one "across the pond". Which I tried to relate to Amy Pond when you said it
Picked phrase up from an American back when Amy Pond didn't exist. Still - know what? SO DID I.
NERD~
TOTAL Who nerdy-nerd since '02. (Guessed yet?)
The UK area?
The town, even, where you can meet Stephen Hawking doing his Christmas shopping~
