Ah, the joys of constant travel.

Right? I will, no exaggeration, murder someone if I don't get a cigarette soon. And I think I mugged the barman. With my travel book.

[Cue a raised eyebrow.]

I assume it was rather hefty. They make for decent bludgeons in a pinch.

[Brandishes her well worn trashy paperback romance novel.]

I explained to him that in this page turner a plucky airline stewardess finds love on a tropical beach with an accountant named Robert who tragically just lost his wife in a boating accident.

I then explained that the only way this book would hurt a person more then reading it would be if it was crammed down their throat. Sideways.

He then acquiesce to my demands.

[Gingerly, Dominic plucks the book out of her fingers and gives a curious glimpse through it. Phrases like 'lustrous locks' and 'quivering rod of desire' jump out at him. He snorts.]

And, pray tell, what were your demands?

[There are HEAVING BOSOMS in that masterpiece, thankyouverymuch. And a rather touching scene where the "hero" drinks coconut rum from the "heroine's" bellybutton. What's better then that?

Answer: nothing.]

Reasonable, so very reasonable, I assure you. A big bottle of wine, if not full sized, four flight sized bottles. Peanuts, and as many olives and maraschino cherry as he could carry. I gave him fifteen minutes.
