[She'd blush if she was the type, but instead just silently, sheepishly nudges his side, glancing up at him.]

[He curls an arm around her shoulders, smiling.] I keep forgetting you're not really one to take a compliment.

Sweet Sam. [Wednesday lets out a short laugh, leaning into him as she tucks her phone into her pocket.] You'll remember that I'm a bit left of center. More than I bit.

Well, I try, anyway. [Sam ducks his head a moment, then his eyes go back to watching her.]

Maybe I find the center boring. I'm not exactly right down the straight and narrow, either. I hunt demons and ghosts for a living. That's not normal.

What a pair we make, then, hm?

[She slides her arms under his jacket, her head against his chest. She closes her eyes, silent for a moment.] I've no malicious ghosts in my house. Not to my knowledge.

I think we make a good pair. [He smiles, folding her into his coat, leaning down to kiss the top of her head.]

That's good to know. I do worry about you, you know. When I leave here.

[She chuckles, her cheek pressed to his shirt. She doesn't want him to worry, and she doesn't want to admit that she, in turn, worries about him. And his ordeals seem so grand compared to the trials and tribulations within the manor.]
