"Nonexistent, thank you." She turned to see the smiling man, figuring word of the get together last night must have spread beyond the pub. She wondered if anyone had woken up outside on the lawn.
He makes a point of hearing things and knowing things and he'd have been there, honestly, if he wasn't surrounded by various cards he needed to keep image around. The doctor could drink... A surprising amount.
"Very impressive Madam," he gives her a slight nod. "New, aye?"
He has aid with him, if you want it, because he's just a swell kind of guy.
"Terribly disappointed, Sir." He spoke calmly, taking a look about. Not yet been in the hearts castle all too long of a time. Could be a useful day for exploring.
"Haven't got one." If he sounds clipped, it's more to do with concentration as he puts an edge onto a well-balanced sabre. Although talking to Eli, hangover or no, is not really that bad always unfortunate.
"It's being a bit of a bastard, to be honest," she replies, pressing her glass tumbler of water to her forehead. Still. She's a tough girl, and she's dealt with far worse in the name of alcohol. It might make her a bit cranky, though. "You lost or something?"
He's not yet had the pleasure meeting the new Heart Ace, how convenient was it they'd meet this way? He'll take a slight lean on her doorframe and cross his feet at the ankles.
"Not quite," a pause, "but we've yet to introduce haven't we?"
[Yeah, it's totally obvious. Yukari is face down at a table, there's a cup of coffee in front of her but she hasn't been able to lift her aching head to drink any since ordering it. She lets out a low groan]
Go awaaaay.
[It's not her fault, okay?! She's Japanese, her body naturally has fewer toxins capable of processing alcohol and she likes to drink. It's also not her fault that she's called in sick for work. How do they expect her to teach when she can't pick her head up? It's totally Nyamo, her best friend's, fault. -She's- the one who drove them to the bar after all.]
Conveniently enough, Johnson is a doctor. Although he'll just be sort of amused for a little before advancing with a glass of water and two extra strength pain killers.
"But, dearest Doctor, that is implying I would drink enough to have hangover." Katya's bright-eyed and smiling. Had he truly expected her to be drinking to excess?
"And said doctor would certainly never dream of scourning our Lady for indulging a smidge if she were to have," he'll be ever so eloquent in manners, stepping forward. "Knowing how persuasive our Seven can be."
"Like a rampaging elephant in a wildfire," she grumbles, pulling the sunglasses lower over her eyes. "I don't want to know how much I actually had to drink."
But this is so clearly payback for when she disturbed him mid-hangover. God, this is miserable.
Yes. Yes it was. Watch him demonstrate his childish side as he places a hand to his ear. His voice raises a couple of notches but retains that calmness.
"Pardon? I'm afraid you're speech is a tad muffled."
“Jet lag, not a hangover. Might be hard to tell the difference.”
She got some rest last night after the conversation with Jordan at the pub. Not much but enough to slog herself to sorting paper work and deal with the pending IT requests while checking in on activities.
“So. Who the hell are you and why would you even care?”
Her voice is thick with irritation and she doesn't take her eyes off the screen.
Fatigue, disorientation, mood swings, there were quite a many similarity. Except one was notoriously less entertaining, but that aside. He knew when to shift his mask from one to the other and so his posture straightened and he lessened the attitude.
"Johnson, Madam. Eli." A brief moment. "I'm a Doctor."
He sort of figured that he wouldn't need to answer her last question in light of his answer to her first question. Although whether he truly did care was another dicussion. Either way, he regarded her for a moment. She wasn't new, but she hadn't been here for some time. Like with Ethan. An old face just coming home after a long journey away.
((Sorry about that. I just checked in on Amy's response and it was the same thing I posted here. Woops! ._.))
