[Hiding after a fight at school]

I'm actually pretty good with mine, now, but I've had a lot of practice.

You don't have to hide around me.

"That's right, I don't." Then, in a desire to show off more than anything, particularly since she already knew the bulk of his secret, Danny said, "Going ghost!"

And with that, two white rings appeared around his midsection, and when they separated, they revealed a Danny that glowed slightly, had pure white hair, and glowing green eyes.

Dru smiled at the demonstration. "Cool. What can you do?"

"Oh, you know. Ghost stuff. Walk through walls," Danny phased through the nearby wall, then floated back out over her head, "Fly, go invisible," he went invisible, then, going visible again, he shot a green blast at a nearby trash can, putting a dent in it. "I have my ectoblasts. And then I have my ghostly wail, but it would be a little dangerous to try and demonstrate that at the moment."

"Were you born with these abilities?" Dru watches his demonstration with interest.

He shook his head. "No, it happened after an accident in my parents' basement."

"You have adapted well to them."

"I get a lot of practice."

"Protecting people?"

"Yeah. I'm kind of like a superhero."

"A dangerous occupation."

"Yeah, but I can handle it."

"Maybe I can help you someday."

"Yeah, maybe." He really didn't mind extra help, so if this girl ever got to the point where she wanted to help out, he wouldn't complain. At least as long as she was able to help without getting in the way or putting herself in danger.

"I can tell you if I sense someone thinking bad things." It at least gives her someone to talk to.

"Well, that would be useful. I mean, most of the guys I go up against seem to like to blurt out their evil plans in the first five minutes, but still, I'm probably not going to be lucky enough to have every villain do that."

"I'm Dru." Because it occurs to her that she has not given him her name.

"I'm Danny Phantom. Or Danny Fenton in my other form."

Danny. It is nice to meet you.
