Summer, the season I like least.

Why is that? The heat, or something less obvious?

For myself, ice is much more suitable than fire. And I've grown used to the dark and cold.

So I take it you would much rather it be Summer's antithesis we were going into, yes?

Quite.

The summer months are long already, and now they endure far past their time.

Everything will equalize eventually. The Earth is just going through its cycle. We've sped it up a bit, but... she'd do it anyway.

I prefer.... winter, personally. Very bracing.

Oh, time is not the issue, but Winter is in for rather lean times.

Having limits thusly set does so rankle.

Winter, there's nothing quite like it for separating the chaff from the wheat.

Those that survive are worthy of it.

For now, but after the heat typically comes a long age of cold.

Which must also come to an end. There's no going around the natural balance of this plane.

Never said there was - but hey, at least there will be that period of cold.

It will be wondrous! Ice creeping back over the land, thunder snows...

And life hidden away in the midst of it.

Perhaps hidden underground or beneath the oceans.

And mayhaps a return of those lost earlier. I had always admired the dire wolves.

It's going to be an exciting time; that much is certain.
