[Yes, Steve does a double take...pauses...tries not to stare because staring is not polite...and has to look again. Then, he's facepalming. Things were so much simpler before he met Norse almost-gods.]

[The staring is so cliche that he just rolls his eyes at it. He would just walk on, but. A double-take followed up by a facepalm, is new. So he'll pause, listen, and then stare as if you're the one with the tail.]

[He's spent most of his life being stared at for one reason or another so it doesn't bother him. What does worry Steve is the fact that Tony doesn't seem to know about Loki. Memory loss combined with whatever spell caused the...um...physical changes?]

Captain Steve Rogers. [He pauses a beat, giving Tony a tentative smile.] You know. Captain America?

[Normally, he wouldn't mention Howard to Tony, but maybe it would help jog his memory.] Do you remember who you are?

[His hands and tail moved anxiously. The more time they stood here, the worse off he'd be. A snap decision, he moves closer to Steve, but not quite touching.]

[Uh huh...He mentioned Howard and Tony didn't bristle at him. And Tony only describes the shield as swell? Which was a word that Steve would get mocked for hours over if he said it. Even when Tony had kind of hated him, he still fanboyed the shield.

His worries and the faint suspicion that Loki might be using Tony against him in some way begin to waver. Not because he really believes Tony would think of him like that but because he needs Steve's help.]

Is there no time at all when everyone is, I don't know, gone from the house? Losing one's memory is a very stressful thing, you know. Can't everyone just fuck off or something?

[The growl causes Steve to give him a worried look. It shouldn't have been unexpected but having your teammate literally growl at you is a little unnerving.]

We can probably avoid everyone if JARVIS helps, but Bruce should examine you to make sure you're all right.

We all live at the Tower, Tony. You gave each of us an entire floor instead of rooms.
