Oooh. Most of the time that someone says that they punch you twice.
What are your favorite.
Sorry, basically, during the opening ceremonies she looked 'bored' and now people have taken it way too seriously. If anything she looked tired. People don't understand that she's coming right of the jubilee to do this. She's been nonstop for a while now.
In this case, watching athletes compete in their respective sports? It's fun. I would love to have some of the muscle strength that some of those athletes have, it's amazing to watch.
Well, these people train their whole lives for just this one moment. They use muscle groups that I wouldn't even know existed. I run, but that's about it. It's just amazing to me. The athletic talent. I like watchin' them do their thing.
OMG I am so sorry I thought I replied to this last night. D:
Really? 'Take two and call me in the morning'? Maybe I just need better friends.
I tried to do gymnastics as a kid? All I ever wanted to do was run across that bar thing.
She's actually in her mid eighties. So yes, quite old, but people would rather think that she's bored than assume she's quite tired. I actually had a conversation about this a couple of days ago. There's no longer such thing as good news, only bad news.
I just think it's terribly boring, but I think that steams from me not really having any sort of interest in sports. I mean I only played sports because my mum made me. I hated every minute of it. What's your favorite thing to watch?
Track and field, yeah... I'm predictable. All the water sports. And... maybe soccer and volleyball. The gymnastics and archery stuff can be cool to watch too.
...oh, did you mean just one favorite thing? Whoops.
*CRIES FOREVER* This is why I shouldn't RP when exhausted.
Wow. I wonder--I was going to wonder if there was ever such a thing, but there was a time when journalists would cover things for powerful people. I'm thinking of the president who was in a wheelchair, or the ones who had badly-hidden mistresses.
No you can have more than one favorite thing! If you like something asking what your most favorite of all is just mean. That's like when people ask me who my favorite band is. I think the archery is kinda cool. I'd watch that. But I think it already passed? I have no idea.
Well I don't think THAT'LL happen. Most of my friends are pretty violent, which kinda doesn't make sense, but I like them all anyway.
It was a free program they had in our community when I lived in Reading. Everyone in the row used to go after school. It's sad American's don't have more programs like that, they'd probably benefit from them.
As good news? Not really. People like to pepper in a good story every now and then but what people want to hear is violence, murders, stabbings, that sort of thing. People still cover things, but now people try harder to uncover things because it's better news. There's no such thing as a private life for the rich, the famous, or the powerful.
Ha! That's a little odd, but if I actually bothered to seek it out I'm sure the information would be right there. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it if I'm not too busy.
And then you could be like 'I don't care about the Olympics... except archery'. And I'll feel like I'm slowly corrupting you to the dark side of finding enjoyment in things like other people's athleticism and skill. It'll be one of my greatest triumphs.
I don't think you could ever get me to care THAT much about sports Mark. Regardless of how much you try at it! I'll probably just have it be background noise while I play something, as that's how I roll when it comes to watching the telly. Really I don't even know why I have it sometimes.
I don't mind that at all, maybe if you work hard enough I might just gain an appreciation for sports. You'll have to explain them to me. Most of them I don't understand at all.
Probably because it helps keep you sane, you poor dear.
I don't know if I should consider that a good thing or a bad thing.
Which is still such a terrible excuse. Especially when it comes to youth programs. But I'm not surprised Americans aren't big on the whole getting something from nothing. Even on the personal level.
I can't say much on that subject. I don't think I've ever had a violent thought. But I know its natural, people get angry. It's pretty commonplace. So it doesn't surprise me that were obsessed with violence.
Still you should concentrate on making sure your family is safe! That's what is most important.
I do. I often stay late during the school year to help with class work or just let them hang around. A lot of people don't and I understand it. I don't have much of a life so its easy for me to stay.
Well we can't attack people we don't like or feel threatened by so instead we insult them.

As tempting as the thought is, no. Their mother would skin me.
Still, I mean, its best to keep your eye on them. Plus I don't think I get into nearly as much trouble as someone else might. I have nothing to offer which makes be pretty useless to the baddies that seem to come with the territory.
I try. I mean I'm not perfect but who is!
Sometimes I wish we'd fight with fists. At least those wounds heal.

I take it you've been watching?

That's another thing, I don't have time to sit around and watch it either.

I could make time, but.. [and here she shrugs.]

Well I mean, of all the things going on in the world it's hardly that important. Unless you REALLY like watching it, and sports.
I wish people would stop making fun of the Queen though.

I.. enjoy some of them, and those are what I'll make time for.
[Aeron tilts her head inquisitively. She's been elbow-deep in drama and work, what is this you speak of?]

Mostly gymnastics.
[Aeron frowns.] But she's.. at least sixty, isn't she? She's an old woman, why wouldn't people assume she's tired before thinking bored?
PFT YOU'RE A BUTT AND YOU SHOULD FEEL TERRIBLE. No worries love. ;)

*drinks your tears mawehehehe* I know the feeling, packing + working = shite RP. But I still do it.

Unfortunately many elected members of our political party still think we're in the middle of the Red Scare. Free programs are too Communist for them.
I suppose that's what happens when you suppress the natural urge for violence.
i think that's why most of us roleplay. hopefully we both get rest soon!
Which is still such a terrible excuse. Especially when it comes to youth programs. But I'm not surprised Americans aren't big on the whole getting something from nothing. Even on the personal level.

here's hoping!
We pride ourselves on being a nation of people who pull ourselves up by the bootstraps, and delude ourselves into thinking everyone has that chance.
Makes sense anyway; we evolved to be a predator animal.
*sings you to sleep so at least one of us gets sleep ;)*
They don't, I see it everyday in my classroom and I wish there was more I could do. It's so sad.
This is true. I think we replace violence with cruelty and that's what we've replaced the urge to kill with. But that's just an opinion on my part.
I can tell I've spent too much time around my godchildren when my first thought is Jigglypuff. x.x
Do what you can. At the risk of sounding trite, it can mean more than you think.
Its a good one. I'm not a biologist, but it makes sense.
do yiu draw on their faces when they fall asleep?! stupid phone.

You're a good man, Gabe.
Exactly.
ignore my stupid typing. ha! i know how that is. this is why i don't have kids.
I try. I mean I'm not perfect but who is!
Sometimes I wish we'd fight with fists. At least those wounds heal.
Its cool, I know the pain. Yes, exactly!
No one I would spend time with.
I think you've hit on why we don't.
I have plans to give my kids all different last names. Just to confuse them. xD
Exactly, perfect people suck.
That's so sad.
