At least the liquor was good.
Such a thing can make or break many a situation.
As fine as the liquor was, it had fair less than I desired. And the night was long. Too damn long.
The nighttime's always long, aye? Here's t'more liquor t'pull ya through, mate.

Everything lasts longer than it should. Seems to me you should keep some of the liquor for your---long nights.
I've always plenty o' liquor. Whiskey, mainly. May I ask where ya were that the liquor was good?
